The todotoy figures are ready for The Little Mermaid premiere
“Under the sea, under the sea…” Who doesn’t remember The Little Mermaid’s famous song? Disney movies have left their mark on many generations, and The Little Mermaid is one of those movies you should have seen at least once in your life.
Since the new movie premieres tomorrow, May 26th, in this article we wanted to recall the story’s plot, the main characters, and the figures related to this theme that we have available in our online store.
What is The Little Mermaid movie about?
Ariel is a young and beautiful mermaid who dreams of discovering the world above. On her first visit to the surface, she falls in love with Prince Eric (whom she saves from a shipwreck).
Even though mermaids are forbidden from interacting with humans, Ariel follows her heart, and contradicting her father’s orders (King Triton), she makes a pact with Ursula (the wicked sea witch).
Ursula gives her the chance to have legs and live out of the water, but this will pose a grave danger to her life and her father’s crown. How does the story end? We’ll leave that for you to discover.
Main characters of The Little Mermaid
- Ariel: She is King Triton's youngest daughter and the true protagonist of the story. Her eagerness to discover love and the outside world will lead her into quite a predicament.
- King Triton: He is the king of the sea and Ariel's father, who forbids her from going out into the outside world and interacting with humans.
- Flounder: He is Ariel's best friend, a fish who accompanies Ariel on her adventures.
- Sebastian: He is a crab who acts as an advisor to the sea king and Ariel's babysitter.
- Prince Eric: He is the young human prince whom Ariel falls in love with and whom she saves from a shipwreck.
- Ursula: She is the wicked sea witch, who deceives Ariel and tries to take over Triton's kingdom.
