The Telefresco promotional Playmobil belongs to the discontinued promotions category. The Telefresco promotional Playmobil is a promotional item consisting of a figure in a milkman's uniform, with a white and green peaked cap matching his uniform, and a bottle. In early 1997, at the height of the franchise boom (that year they had grown by 46%), Telefresco (TF Tele Fresco) was born, a novel business for daily home delivery of fresh food, all from top brands. The idea of its promoters was to expand this business throughout Spain using the franchise system. To do this, they launched an advertising campaign to attract future franchisees, with press ads like the one you can see in the attached image (published in December of that year in La Vanguardia). The necessary investment was 18 million pesetas, and it was said that profitability would begin after a year and a half of operation. Franchisees were also asked to hire one salesperson and two delivery drivers; and to have at least two vans for delivery. The royalty for the parent company would be 5% of monthly gross sales. The design of Telefresco's corporate image was entrusted to the Parype agency (now Estudio creativo Pareja), who would also be responsible for some advertising campaigns, as we will see later. In April 1998, the Puleva Group, which controlled Telefresco, decided to launch an ambitious expansion plan, with the forecast of opening a total of 15 franchises that year; and reaching 42 by the year 2000. At that time, Telefresco had four franchises (two of them, pilot franchises). However, a few weeks later, Puleva decided to abandon this business project and focus on others. Although the company remained fiscally active for several more years, in practice it never resumed activity. Currently, the TF Tele Fresco brand still belongs to Puleva Food, which has been renewing the registration property until now. The Telefresco promotional Playmobil was marketed exclusively in Spain.
