Playmobil 70750 A-Team Van

Playmobil 70750 The A-Team Van

Black on the bottom, grey on top, the red stripe running along the side up to the spoiler and the red wheels. No need to say more: anyone who had a TV in the eighties knows exactly which van this is.

Playmobil has reproduced the 1983 GMC Vandura from The A-Team under official licence: 29 cm long, tubular front bull bar, light bar on the roof and California number plate. And inside, all four of them.

The whole team

• 🔹 Hannibal — white hair, black gloves and his cigar. The one with the plan
• 🔹 B.A. Baracus — mohawk, gold chains and a scowl
• 🔹 Face — light jacket, the charmer of the group
• 🔹 Murdock — with his cap and his skull mask

A workshop on wheels

What makes this set great is the interior, which is exactly what you can't see on the box. The sliding side door and the rear door open, and the roofs come off to get inside:

• 🔹 Monitor and operations panels with the plans for the job
• 🔹 Welding kit with gas bottle and torch — B.A.'s
• 🔹 Red toolbox with eight tools: spanners, adjustable wrench, hammer, crowbar and wheel brace
• 🔹 Cabinet and pegboard wall to hang everything on
• 🔹 Binoculars, torch, walkie-talkie and documents
• 🔹 Room for five figures inside

It's the van as it was used in the series: not a car, a rolling workshop where the plan was hatched and the armour of the episode was welded.

Five seasons, 98 episodes

The A-Team aired on NBC from January 1983 to March 1987: five seasons and 98 episodes. The van appeared in every one of them and became as much a star as Mr. T. That's why this set isn't a gift for a child: it's a gift for whoever was ten years old in 1985.

Discontinued

Playmobil no longer makes this reference. With TV licences, restocking depends on the agreement with the studio being renewed, and that almost never happens. What's left is all there is.
